Selected Achievements:

  • Winner of Life! Theatre Award for Best Actress for performance in ‘Prisoner of Mumbai Mansion’ – 2011
  • Negotiated with the Singapore Government to establish an independent channel for the Indian community as well as a dedicated children and arts channel – leading a team to pull together the programming, branding and infrastructure. The two new channels were launched in October, 2008.
  • Produced and directed iconic comedy, drama and documentary series for MediaCorp garnering more than 20 awards at the New York Festivals and the Asian Television Awards.
  • Managed production for Mediacorp Studios working closely with business partners in programming, airtime and distribution — between 2003 and 2008 the channel enjoyed high ratings.
  • Specially appointed to manage a restructuring of Mediacorp TV 12 – within a period of one year achieved increased market penetration, ratings and profitability for the channel.
  • Charity performance of English play ‘Rafta Rafta’ for the Rotary Club of Marina City for the ‘Eradication of Polio’ drive.

2012 – ‘The Kanjoos’ – Performed in an adaptation of Moliere’s comedy ‘The Miser’

2011 – ‘The Prisoner of Mumbai Mansion’ – Performed in an adaptation of Neil Simon’s ‘The Prisoner of 2nd Avenue’

2010 – ‘Rafta Rafta’ – Performed in Ayub Khan’s comedy

1993 – 2009 – Performed in various plays with The Necessary Stage, TheatreWorks, and several Hindi/Gujurati plays with TheatreWallas
