Later that year, he acted in Pazhi, a translation of the popular English play Sleuth.

The experience gained from theatre got him the role of Marsiling Baby in Singapore’s first Tamil movie Gurushetram- 24 Hrs of Anger, a film commissioned by Singapore Film Commission and MDA. He received rave reviews for the portrayal.

Nakulan obtained acting and hosting roles on local Tamil channel Vasantham. The leading roles he donned in dramas earned him 2 Best Actor nominations in 2011 and 2014 at the Mediacorp Vasantham’s Pradhana Vizha Awards. He was also in the running for the Most Popular Male Personality award in 2012.

At present, Nakulan has been the managing director of RDG since 2010 and had the organisation incorporated in the year 2010.  Upon incorporation, he has produced 12 plays and has put in place an annual Ten minute Tamil play festival called Pathey Nimidam (Only 10 Minutes).

Together with a passionate team, he is striving to bring the organization to a higher level. While in this pursuit, Nakulan realizes the need and importance to keep moulding himself as an actor too. He looks forward to playing more characters on stage and on screen in the near future.
